Privacy Notice
Effective 2026-10-02
Teleclini is a practice-management and online consultation platform for independent doctors. It is operated by DIALINDOCTOR LLP ("we", "us"). This notice explains what information Teleclini handles, why, and who it is shared with. If you have any questions, contact us at support@dialindoctor.com.
Who this notice covers
This notice applies to the Teleclini website and app at teleclini.dialindoctor.com. It covers doctors who create a Teleclini account, patients who book or attend an appointment with a doctor through Teleclini, and anyone who books on another person's behalf.
Teleclini is currently offered as a limited pilot. It provides doctor profiles, appointment booking, appointment and patient-list management, follow-up reminders inside the doctor's account, and online video consultations. It does not provide prescriptions, diagnoses, laboratory results, medical records storage, or online payments.
Teleclini's role and the doctor's role
Teleclini is a technology platform. Doctors use it to run their own practice. The doctor you book with is responsible for your medical care, for clinical decisions, and for any clinical records they keep. Teleclini does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment.
Information about your appointments with a doctor is kept so that the doctor can manage their practice. Patient information recorded for one doctor's practice is not made available to other doctors on Teleclini.
Information we collect from doctors
When a doctor creates and uses a Teleclini account, we collect:
- account details: name, email address and a password (stored only in a one-way hashed form)
- professional profile: title, specialty, qualifications, years of experience, languages, a short biography and an optional profile photo
- PM&DC registration number and its verification status
- practice details: names and addresses of hospitals or clinics, optional map links, consultation types, fees, appointment length, weekly availability, blocked time and booking preferences
- subscription status for the pilot, and referral information if a doctor joins through another doctor's referral link or refers another doctor
- activity in the account, such as appointments created or updated, follow-ups scheduled, and notes saved
A doctor's public profile (name, title, photo, specialty, qualifications, experience, languages, biography, practice locations, fees and available times) is visible to anyone with the link. A doctor's email address is never shown publicly, and Teleclini does not ask for or display a doctor's personal phone number.
PM&DC verification
Doctors provide their PM&DC registration number. A member of our team checks it manually against the official PM&DC register and records whether it was verified or rejected, with an optional note to the doctor. A "Verified" badge is shown only after this manual check. The verification badge reflects our check of the registration number; it is not an endorsement of the doctor's medical services.
Information we collect about patients
When a patient books an appointment, or a doctor adds an appointment for a patient, we collect:
- the patient's full name and mobile number
- the patient's age, and gender if provided
- the reason for the visit, if provided
- the appointment details: doctor, date and time, location or online consultation, fee, booking reference and status (for example booked, completed, cancelled or missed)
Patients do not create a Teleclini account and we do not ask patients for an email address or a password.
Booking for someone else
You may book on behalf of a family member or another person, such as a child or an elderly parent. If you do, please enter that person's details and make sure you are allowed to share them. The same mobile number may be used for more than one family member; Teleclini keeps each person as a separate patient for the doctor.
Patient relationship information kept for the doctor
To help a doctor follow their patients over time, Teleclini keeps a simple history for the doctor's practice. This includes first and last visit dates, the number of completed visits, the list of past and upcoming appointments, the locations visited or whether the visit was online, and whether the patient is new or returning.
Doctors can also:
- schedule a follow-up date, with an optional short reason, after a completed visit
- write one short private note about a patient (for example, a preference for evening appointments)
Follow-ups and private notes are visible only to that doctor's practice. They are not shown to the patient or to other doctors. Teleclini is not designed as a medical record system, and doctors are asked not to use these notes for clinical records.
Online consultations
Online consultations take place by video in the browser using LiveKit, a third-party real-time video service. Audio and video pass through LiveKit's service so that the doctor and patient can see and hear each other. To set up the call, LiveKit receives the display names of the participants (the doctor's title and name, and the patient's name) and a randomly generated room identifier.
The current Teleclini pilot does not intentionally record or transcribe online consultations, and does not analyse them with artificial intelligence. Teleclini stores only information about the consultation session itself, such as when it started and ended and whether each participant joined.
Your camera and microphone are used only while you are on the consultation page and have allowed access in your browser.
Your private booking link
After booking, patients receive a private link to view or cancel their appointment and, for online consultations, to join the call. For online consultations arranged by the doctor, the doctor sends the patient a private link. Anyone who has this link can use it, so please keep it private. We store only a coded (hashed) version of the secret part of the link.
Payments
During the pilot, Teleclini does not process online payments. In-person consultations are paid directly to the doctor or clinic. Teleclini does not collect card, bank or mobile-wallet details from patients during the pilot.
Account, security and technical information
To keep accounts secure and the service running, we process:
- sign-in sessions, including when a session was created and last used, and the type of browser or device used
- verification codes sent by email (stored only in a coded form and valid for a short time)
- records of important actions, such as sign-ins, changes to appointments, PM&DC review decisions and consultation start and end times
- technical information needed to protect the service from misuse, such as limits on repeated attempts. Teleclini does not store your IP address in its own database for this; our hosting provider may record technical request information, such as IP addresses, in its own logs.
Teleclini uses a small number of cookies that are necessary for the service: a sign-in cookie for doctors, and a cookie that remembers a referral link for up to 30 days. Teleclini does not use advertising or third-party analytics cookies.
Why we use information
We use information to:
- create and manage doctor accounts and public profiles
- verify PM&DC registration numbers
- let patients find a doctor, book, view, cancel and join appointments
- help doctors manage appointments, patients, follow-ups and their practice summary
- run online video consultations
- send doctors account emails, such as verification codes
- keep the service secure, prevent misuse and fix problems
- manage the pilot, including subscriptions and referral credits for doctors
- meet legal obligations and respond to lawful requests
Teleclini sends doctors operational emails, such as account verification codes, through Resend, an email delivery provider. Teleclini does not currently send emails or text messages to patients and does not send marketing messages.
Service providers and where information is processed
We use trusted service providers to run Teleclini. They process information on our behalf to provide their service:
- Vercel: hosting of the Teleclini website and app
- Neon: database hosting
- Cloudflare R2: storage of doctor profile photos
- LiveKit: real-time audio and video for online consultations
- Resend: email delivery
These providers may store or process information on servers located outside Pakistan. We choose providers that offer security measures appropriate to the service, but each provider operates under its own terms and practices.
When information is shared
We share information only as needed to run the service:
- with the doctor you book with, who sees your booking details and appointment history with their practice
- in public doctor profiles, as described above
- with the service providers listed above
- when required by law, or to protect the safety, rights or security of patients, doctors, the public or Teleclini
- if Teleclini or its business is reorganised or transferred, in which case information would continue to be handled consistently with this notice
Teleclini does not sell personal information and does not use it for advertising.
How we protect information
We use measures designed to protect information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) to the Teleclini website, one-way hashing of passwords and private link secrets, access controls so that each doctor sees only their own practice's information, limits on repeated sign-in and booking attempts, and keeping personal details out of our application logs. No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot promise that information will never be accessed without authorisation.
How long information is kept
We keep information for as long as it is needed to provide the service, to support the doctor's practice, to keep appropriate records of appointments and account activity, and to meet legal, regulatory, security or dispute-resolution needs. When information is no longer needed for these purposes, we take reasonable steps to delete or anonymise it. Some information may remain in backups for a limited time before it is overwritten.
Your choices and requests
You can ask us to access, correct or delete personal information that Teleclini holds about you, or ask questions about how it is used, by emailing support@dialindoctor.com. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
Patients can also contact their doctor directly. Because appointment information is kept for the doctor's practice, some requests may need to be handled together with the doctor, and some information may need to be kept where the doctor or Teleclini has legal, professional or clinical record-keeping obligations.
Doctors can update their profile and practice details in their account at any time.
Children
Teleclini is not intended to be used directly by children. A parent or guardian may book an appointment for a child and provide the child's details.
Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as Teleclini changes. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top. If the changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to let doctors know.
